Getting Intense Hair Care with Dove
When it comes to my pelo, I'll try just about everything. As the seasons change so does my hair. In the summer I tend to wear my hair natural and the products I use on my curly mane differ from those that I use when I wear it straight. The less product the better but this seems to never be the case when going from super tight curls to sleek n' straight.
Enter, Dove Daily Intensive Repair hair line. I've used Dove hair products before so I was looking forward to trying out this new line. And since my ombre is growing out, and looking quite brassy, this was the perfect time to put it to test.
First, I was not expecting such gorgeous packaging!
I was sent the Dove Damage Solutions Intensive Repair Shampoo + Conditioner. "Damage" isn't even the word! I am in desperate need of a trim and like I said, my ombre is not only brassy but it's super dry, especially the ends.
Also added to the mix was the Style + Care Frizz-Free Shine Cream-Serumand the mousse.
The bottles were bigger than expected and smelled so good!! I'm in love with the scent.
I didn't need much for a really good lather so I'm sure this will last awhile. Combing my hair is a mission since it's so curly and much easier to do with conditioner, lots of it too. Surprisingly, I didn't need a ton and it was an unexpected quick process. A major plus!
Before I start the two hour long process of blow drying my hair (yes two hours!), I like to use some sort of straightening cream or heat protectant. I decided to just use the cream serum, concentrating mainly on my ends.
After the first section, I was very excited because my hair was so soft. Another thing I noticed was that it didn't take me as long to straighten my hair. Once fully dried I applied a tad bit more of the serum since it can be used on damp or dry hair, just to smooth it out more.
FINAL VERDICT:
I definitely recommend this product. My hair was more manageable and I can't get over how soft it is! After just one use I saw and felt an immediate difference in my hair. Despite the fact that a trim is needed my ends didn't look as dry and unhealthy.
