Casual Style: Long Tribal Sweater + Cognac Boots
Back to outfit posts! Truthfully, these pics were taken back in January after the first phase of winter madness hit NY. With weather like this my uniform becomes chunky knits, long sweaters, tall boots, basically just casual simplicity. I know layering is key but sometimes that gets kinda annoying, as in, feeling bulky which I absolutely hate!
Since my winter coat is pretty darn warm it's actually best for me not to pile on the layers. And with my "street coat" a thick sweater is good enough for mild winter temps. I prefer tall boots (knee-high or OTK) because I can wear long thick socks over my jeans to keep my feet and legs warm. I also think it's just a great way to look stylish in the winter wonderland.
Though I will admit that I need some true winter boots. This slushy mess ain't cute! Another staple in my current winter uniform, when wearing my hair natural, is a curly messy bun. It's just so fast, easy, and effortless. Great for those days when you just don't have the time to do your hair.
Spring can't come soon enough! I'm over this winter already with it's icy temperatures and snow. I want the warm sun, sleeveless tops, and cute sandals.
Have a great weekend loves! I'll be busy with a House of Cards of marathon :-)
