THE 15 BEST FACE MOISTURIZERS FOR ALL SKIN TYPES

Here we are!!! The final day of #SkinCareWeekWithMi 🤗 culminates with the final step in a skincare routine; moisturizing! Using a face moisturizer is so important regardless of skin type. For years I was told that because I had oily skin using a moisturizer wasn’t necessary and I have learned that that is absolutely not true. Without the hydration your skin will just produce more oil because it thinks it needs it which can lead to more breakouts.

A moisturizer protects your skin from environmental elements, balances your skin, hydrates and helps to alleviate other issues you may be experiencing such as dullness, wrinkles, dryness, and yes, acne. Do you want to walk around looking dull and flaky? Not I.

What I have for you today is a hefty list of moisturizers, oils and face mists for all skin types. Ready to take notes?

  • Biologique Recherche Crème Dermopurifiante
For problematic skin this is by far the absolute best luxury product I have ever used. It doesn’t smell great but I don’t care because it works. The Biologique Crème Dermopurifiante is a calming moisturizer that is ideal for skin prone to breakouts and combination skin. It is anti-aging, purifying and helps to control oil production. A little goes a long way with this one!

  • Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Facial Moisturizer
The Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Facial Moisturizer is a fairly new one in my lineup. I am not new to retinols but I have never really used one in a moisturizer. I use it about once a week and keep the rest of the regimen simple to not irritate my skin. This blend helps with wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, brightness and pores. A new fave for sure!

  • CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30
I prefer to have SPF included in my moisturizer because I am not a fan of most SPF’s. The scent, the white cast..ugh, I can’t stand it! Plus it’s so much easier (and quicker) to have it in a moisturizer. The CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 has a hint of that typical beachy SPF smell but it is tolerable. It is very white but once you massage it in it goes away. I feel like my skin is really protected when I use it. This morning moisturizer is oil-free, fragrance free, and non-comedogenic. It contains my favorite ingredients; ceramides to restore the protective barrier of the skin, niacinamide to calm the skin and hyaluronic acid to retain skin’s moisture.

  • Neutrogena PInk Grapefruit Moisturizer
The Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Moisturizer is an awesome affordbale drugstore product for blemish prone skin. It is oil-free, lightweight, and contains salicylic acid to prevent and treat breakouts. It’s non-irritating and refreshing.

  • Laniege Water Bank Hydro Gel
Since trying out a few other Laniege products I have become quite a fam of the K-Beuaty brand. The Laniege Water Bank Hydro Gel is paraben and phthalate free. Gel moisturizers are best for oily skin and I love the formula of this one. It is very hydrating, cooling, and absorbs quickly into the skin.

  • Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer
I’m sending you to watch my review of the entire Peptide 21 collection because I talk about this moisturizer in that video. I will say this, if you have dry skin you will love this moisturizer. The Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer is great for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin.

After moisturizing my skin I like to go in with an oil and finish my routine with a hydrating beauty mist or essence. Below are my tried and true oils, mists, and face sprays.

  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir: If you haven’t tried this cult fave, what exactly are you waiting for? Great for all skin types, reduces dullness and give you skin that radiant boost. Plus, it’s hydrating and great for setting makeup too.

  • Caudalie Grape Water: If the Beauty Elxiir is ever sold out, which is typically is, get this! Bigger, cheaper bottle and so refreshing on the skin!

  • Mad Hippie's Hydrating Nutrient Mist: This vegan and cruelty-free mist helps fight photo damage and other skin discolorations (still wear your sunscreen though) and can be applied to the face, neck, arms, and chest.
