MUST-HAVE SERUMS FOR DARK SPOTS, UNEVEN SKIN TONE + TEXTURE
If there is a skincare product I love using the most it would be serums. Because of my oily acne-prone skin I am constantly battling hyperpigmentation, trying to control sebum production. and skin texture. If I can find a serum that tackles all of my concerns I am game! But if not, I tend to gear more towards brightening serums that help even skin tone, lighten dark spots and keep breakouts at a minimum.
The face serums listed below help with all of that and more!
Biologique Recherche Serum Complexe Iribiol
Other than P50V the Biologique Recherche Complexe Iribiol serum was one of the first products I have tried from Biologique Recherche. What I love about this serum is that it does a little bit of everything; treat and prevent breakouts (while also treating post acne scarring), smooths the skin, minimizes the pores and truly perfects the t-zone like it claims. This balancing serum helps to control sebum production and is great for combination and oily skin types. It is a must-have product for me and worth every single penny!
Ole Henriksen's Truth Serum
The first and only vitamin c serum I have tried up until recently was the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I have been using this serum for years and absolutely love it. It delivers antioxidants, brightens and tightens the skin for a super healthy glow and fights signs of aging. We’re aiming to look youthful okay?. It smells good and absorbs quickly into the skin. Remember to wear SPF! An everyday necessity regardless but especially when using products with potent ingredients.
Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Facial Serum
If you’ve never tried a retinol before the Olay Regenerist line is a good one to start with. The Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Facial Serum has a thick-ish white consistency and feels velvety on the skin once massaged in. It doesn’t irritate my skin and is super lightweight. I like to use this once or twice a week along with the Regenerist Retinol 24 night cream.
CeraVe's Skin Renewing Vitamin C Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
I am a huge fan of CeraVe! Their Foaming Facial Cleanser is one of my drugstore faves. I had read some great reviews about the CeraVe's Skin Renewing Vitamin C Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and really wanted to try it out. I even dragged my mom to 2 CVS locations trying to find it! It’s been about a few months of using it and I am really liking it so far! It doesn’t have a citrus scent and I don’t care! It contains 3 essential ceramides (I love ceramides btw), hyaluronic acid and 10% pure vitamin c. These ingredients deliver hydration, aid in evening skin tone and texture and restore the protective skin barrier. This is a great affordable option if you want to start integrating vitamin c into your routine.Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Before purchasing the $90 bottle of the Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum I tried the travel size duo with the virgin marula oil, valued at $28. After several purchases I realized it made more sense to buy the full bottle. This helped so much with the hyperpigmentation and texture of my skin. It was the perfect addition with my trio of Holy grails (P50, Complexe Iribiol + Creme Dermopurifiante). The full size bottle lasted almost a year for me with nightly use. A little goes a long way. Once my bank account is friendly again I will repurchase!Urban Skin Rx Super C Brightening Serum
The Urban Skin Rx Super C Brightening Serum containing brightening and ant-aging properties containing 20% L-Ascorbic acid and ferulic acid. This is perfect for anyone with dark spots, uneven skin tone and blemishes, hello…this gal right here. I use about 4-6 drops, push the product into my skin and gently massage it all over. I recommend waiting to ensure it has been full absorbed before applying the next product as it can pill. Of all the brightening serum from Urban Skin Rx I like this one the best.
Urban Skin Rx Even Tone Super Glow Serum
The Urban Skin Rx Even Tone Super Glow Serum is similar to the Super C Brightening Serum but contains 10% L-Ascorbic Acid and kojic ccid to improve the appearance of dark spot, sun damage, while firming the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. If you have sensitive skin this might be a better option for you.
Urban Skin Rx Hydrafirm + Brightening Serum
I absolutely love how hydrating this serum is and how my skin feels when using it. The Urban Skin Rx Hydrafirm + Brightening Serum contains hyaluronic acid, alpha arbutin, peptides, niacinamide and lactic acid to improve uneven skin tone, skin texture and is non-clogging. This serum is great for oily skin and acne prone skin. It absorbs quickly into the skin and is so hydrating is feels silky.
