HOW TO RESET FOR THE NEW YEAR
5 THINGS TO DO TO GET READY FOR 2021
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! How happy were you to kiss (or kick) 2020 goodbye? I’m with you. This is the first full week of January, and if you were waiting until today to start your 2021 goals, resolutions, or to reset your life, then this post is perfect for you.
Keep on reading because I am sharing with you some ideas on how to prepare for the New Year and what you can do to start fresh on anything.
On my Instagram, I shared a brief list of simple tasks you can do to get a head start on whatever changes you plan to make in your daily habits or goals you want to achieve. Small daily changes is how we begin to create the necessary shifts in our lives.
HERE ARE 5 SIMPLE THINGS TO DO NOW:
CLEAN & ORGANIZE YOUR SPACE
Where you live and work has a great impact on your mood and ability to think and be efficient. A clean and organized space will make it easier for you to go about your daily routines. With so many of us working from home now, it will also help you work with ease.
DIGITAL DECLUTTER
Admit it, your desktop is a hot mess. No judgment! Mine is too by the end of the week. Make it a weekly habit to backup files on your laptop. Delete what you no longer need, and yes, I’m talking about those screenshots. Invest in an external hard drive if you don’t have one.
REVIEW & REFLECT
Take some time alone to reflect on last year, journal, and review the intentions you set. What did you do? How did you feel? Use this time to write everything down and get it out so you can clear your internal life and start this year fresh.
GIVE YOURSELF A WORD FOR THE YEAR
For me, I love giving myself a word or two, or three, for the year. It is a great way to establish a foundation from which to build. Anytime you start feeling a little off, remind yourself of your word, and it will ground you.
DECIDE HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL
If making resolutions or goal setting is not your jam, then decide how you want to feel every day. What do you have to do to achieve that feeling? Write it down, make a plan, and be intentional about it. By the way, intentional is a great word and was one of mine last year!
On Thursday, I’ll be sharing a video on my goal setting tips and 2021 goals. Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don’t miss it!!
Wishing you the absolute best for this year! LET’S DO THIS👊🏽
