The Lesson In the Valleys | #MotivationalMonday

Success is not a straight smooth line despite the fact that many of us often view it as a golden moment at the mountaintop. Getting to the top is all we can think of, always aiming to get ahead, to get to the next level (whatever that is), all the while neglecting the necessary lessons from the valleys.

The fucking valleys. We hate when we’re in them and yet they are the very places that pushes and molds us into what we need to be in order to keep going...so we can get to the mountaintop! The thing is, some of us get bogged down by the weight and obstacles we encounter and we allow them to stall any progress we could be making. We spend way too much time comparing which inevitably makes us feel like we’re not doing enough, we’re not far enough, or just not enough. ENOUGH!.

What I’m trying to say is...I didn’t intend to be on such a long hiatus on here. I mean, it took me years to find a process and schedule that worked and I was consistent for years dammit! I was so proud of myself!! Now, I can get mad at myself and stay hung up on it or, I can take the lessons, pick myself back up and keep going. As usual, in case you’re new here, I always keep going. We don’t reach destinations by staying stuck looking back, or giving up. I know I didn’t.

So, here we are. This is the relaunch/redesign/whatever you want to call it, of my official site and motivational lifestyle blog. I wanted it to reflect who I am; a complex and layered person with multiple interests, deeply passionate about the arts/acting and who loves creating #reallifeshit content.
