L'Oreal EverCurl Review: Is it Good?
Trying hair products is a constant thing for the curly girl. Curly hair behaves differently every season and what is required will constantly change. Now that we're in the thick of winter on the east coast, curly hair is drier than usual. Finding the right winter hair routine can be struggle (for me at least). I had already tried the EverPure Cleasing Balm so I was eager to try L'Oréal's EverCurl products. Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing! Who doesn't like good scent right? Surprisingly it has amazing slip which is very rare for shampoos. After deep conditioning I uses the EverCurl conditioner and this too had great slip, making it easy to rake through my curls (uber carefully of course). I followed my new product routine (leave-in, oil, and styling product) the styling product being the EverCurl Sculpt & Hold Cream-Gel. I used about a pump on each section of hair which I think was just the right amount. Too much might've made my hair scrunchy and drier.
Scrunching is key for me now so I did that a gazillion times and let mt hair air dry for about 40 minutes before diffusing on cool. Prior to the hair salon incident I would rarely diffuse, preferring air dried curls, but since I'm lacking serious volume now diffusing helps with that. A key ingredient in the shampoo, conditioner and creame gel is coconut oil, one of my favorite oils. They also don't contain any harsh sulfates, salt or surfactants which can strip the hair making it dull and damaging it. Win win because protecting curls from arsh ingredients is a key part in getting and maintaining healthy coils.
